Afterhours

A poster show off the clock

Afterhours is part individual creative expression, part curated poster show, and part non-profit fundraiserThe concept for this event was spearheaded by Cameron Sandage, Ryan Swedenborg, and 7 additional designers including myself to help make a social impact through creativity in the Central Texas community.

Through months of nailing down the logistics and branding of the event, finding participants who would be willing to volunteer their skills and resources, curating final work and setting up the space, our kick-off event this year was was hosted at Lewis Carnegie in East Austin. 30 local artists were asked to created posters inspired by food in honor of the year's non-profit, The Capital Area Food Bank of Texas. And it was a huge success! The opening night, we sold just over $5,000 in posters, packed the Lewis Carnegie space and connected with an amazing community. Ultimately, our efforts helped to raise over 9,863 meals for Central Texans in need.
